Jordan: Jordan's King Abdullah II and French President Emmanuel Macron engaged in a telephone discussion on Wednesday, focusing on ongoing efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, as well as addressing developments in Syria, Lebanon, and the broader Middle East.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the conversation, King Abdullah stressed the urgency of intensifying diplomatic efforts to halt the violence in Gaza and address the continued Israeli escalation in the West Bank. He highlighted the critical need to ensure that sufficient humanitarian aid reaches all areas of Gaza.

The King expressed Jordan's firm rejection of recent Israeli statements regarding the concept of a "Greater Israel," as well as plans to entrench the occupation of Gaza and expand military control. He condemned unilateral actions in the West Bank, including settlement expansion in the E1 area, emphasizing that a two-state solution remains the only viable path to achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

Additionally, King Abdullah welcomed France's intention to recognize the State of Palestine, describing it as a significant step toward supporting the Palestinian people and fostering stability across the Middle East.
