Jordanian Foreign Minister and Japanese Official Discuss Enhancing Cooperation and Regional Developments

Jordan: Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, met with Okubo Takeshi, Special Assistant to the Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs and Ambassador in charge of Gaza Rebuilding Assistance, during Takeshi's visit to Amman. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Jordan and Japan, as well as reviewing recent developments in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, Safadi emphasized the importance of upholding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, ensuring the uninterrupted and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to the enclave, and prioritizing the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. He also highlighted the necessity of pursuing a clear political path towards the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, with East Jerusalem as its capital, along the lines of June 4, 1967.

Safadi acknowledged Japan's support for the two-state solution and its ongoing commitment to humanitarian efforts in Gaza. He also pointed out Japan's continuous coordination with Jordan within the framework of collective international actions aimed at providing humanitarian relief in Gaza.
