Amman: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Sunday discussed with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, who is visiting Amman, the regional situation and the efforts being made to consolidate the ceasefire in Gaza, bring in humanitarian aid, and achieve security, stability, and peace in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two ministers also discussed the foundations of cooperation, deepening bilateral relations between the two countries, and increasing cooperation in many economic, commercial, political, investment, and cultural fields, in addition to defense, security, and combating terrorism.

The two sides agreed to launch an institutional mechanism for political consultations that will hold its first meeting this year to determine sectors of cooperation and determine the agreements that the two countries will sign to strengthen cooperation.
