Amman: Tourism revenues in Jordan during the first five months of this year, from January to May, reached approximately 2.167 billion Jordanian dinars (1 US dollar equals 0.71 Jordanian dinars), an increase of 16 percent compared to the same period in 2024, when tourism revenues amounted to approximately 1.873 billion Jordanian dinars.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities reported that tourism revenues during May alone increased by 18 percent, reaching 447 million Jordanian dinars, compared to 380 million dinars in May 2024.
The ministry also indicated that the number of visitors to the country reached 3.292 million in the first half of this year, an 18 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, when the number of visitors reached 2.786 million.
