Rabat – President of Gabon’s Transitional National Assembly, Jean-François Ndongou, welcomed, here Tuesday, Morocco’s “continued” commitment to promoting Moroccan-Gabonese relations.
The Kingdom of Morocco has always been keen to promote its long-standing bilateral and brotherly relations with the Republic of Gabon, Ndongou told the press following his talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
Tackling bilateral cooperation, he pointed out that 7,000 of his countrymen live in Morocco, particularly within the framework of academic and military training programs.
In this regard, the Gabonese official affirmed that his country “remains constant on the nature, quality and depth of its relations with the kingdom”.
Ndongou, on a working visit to Morocco at the head of a delegation of the Gabonese Transitional National Assembly, also reiterated Gabon’s “continued” support for Moroccan sovereignty over its Sahara.
