Rome: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni revealed today that her country will propose to its European partners an urgent summit that includes the United States, European countries, and allies to discuss how to deal with major challenges, starting with Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, Meloni stated that the proposal comes in the wake of a recent argument between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his American counterpart Donald Trump at the White House. She emphasized that every division in the West weakens everyone involved.

In recent weeks, Italy has advocated for further clarification of visions between Brussels and Washington on several pressing issues. Among these are the US tariffs on aluminum and steel, as well as the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
