Israeli Occupation Forces Intensify Demolition Operations in Tulkarm for 148th Day

Tulkarm: Israeli occupation bulldozers continued Monday their extensive demolition operations in the Nour Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm city, as part of an escalating aggression that has entered its 148th day on the city and camp, and its 135th day specifically on the camp.

According to Qatar News Agency, six large military bulldozers participated in the demolition operations, which focused on the Manshiyya neighborhood and extended to the Al Aydah and Al Jami' neighborhoods and their surroundings. Residential buildings were razed to the ground, and wide streets were opened in their place, in a scene that reflects the extent of the deliberate and systematic destruction carried out by the occupation forces.

This escalation is accompanied by a tightening of military measures at the checkpoints surrounding Tulkarm. The occupation forces have erected surprise checkpoints around the Jabara Bridge gate at the southern entrance to the city, and the Anab military checkpoint to the east. Vehicles are stopped and searched, passengers are subjected to searches and interrogations, traffic is deliberately obstructed, and passage is often prevented.

It is worth noting that this escalation has resulted in the displacement of more than 5,000 families from the two camps, representing over 25,000 citizens. At least 400 homes have been completely destroyed, and 2,573 homes have been partially damaged. The entrances remain closed, transforming the two camps into areas almost devoid of life.
