Israeli Occupation Forces Advance into Southern Syria’s Quneitra Countryside

Quneitra: Israeli occupation forces advanced Monday into the villages of Al Samdaniyah Al Sharqiyah and Al Ajraf in the Quneitra countryside, southern Syria.

According to Qatar News Agency, an occupying force consisting of several military vehicles entered the village of Al Samdaniyah Al Sharqiyah and set up a military checkpoint at the village entrance.

Qatar News Agency noted that a second occupation force entered the village of Al Ajraf, set up a temporary checkpoint, and proceeded to search passers-by before the two forces withdrew from the area without any reports of arrests. The occupation forces also targeted Tel Al Ahmar Al Sharqi in the southern countryside of Quneitra, with an artillery shell originating from the occupied Golan. There were no reports of casualties from this incident.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli occupation force entered the area between the villages of Ruwayhina and Zubayda Al Gharbiya in the southern Quneitra countryside, where they set up a temporary checkpoint on the road connecting the two villages.

The Israeli occupation's actions continue to be perceived as violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement due to their repeated incursions into southern Syria. Syria has consistently demanded the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from its territory, emphasizing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect according to international law.
