Khan Younis: A Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces on Monday night in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local sources. The incident marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict in the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, the occupation forces also shelled a tent sheltering displaced individuals in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, while military helicopters launched attacks on the eastern part of the city. In the central Gaza Strip, heavy artillery fire was reported east of Al-Maghazi camp.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes carried out intense airstrikes in Gaza City and bombed a residential home in Jabalia. In Shujaiya, an Israeli drone set fire to five displacement tents, adding to the growing humanitarian crisis in the area.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has climbed to 51,266, with 116,991 others injured.
