Israeli Occupation Continues Assault on Tulkarm and Its Camps for 151st Consecutive Day

Tulkarm: Israeli occupation bulldozers continued large-scale demolition operations on Thursday in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm, as part of an ongoing assault now in its 151st day on the city and its 138th day on the camp specifically.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread demolitions and bulldozing of residential buildings in both Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps using heavy machinery. The demolitions caused complete destruction of homes, turning neighborhoods into empty lots blanketed in dust and debris, with wide roads replacing former residential alleys and neighborhoods effectively severed from each other.

This escalation is accompanied by tightened military measures at checkpoints surrounding Tulkarm, including erection of surprise barriers near Jabara Bridge Gate at the southern entrance of the city and at Annab military checkpoint to the east. Vehicles are being stopped, passengers searched and interrogated, and movement deliberately obstructed or entirely prevented.

The ongoing military campaign displaced over 5,000 families - more than 25,000 people - from the two camps. It also led to the complete destruction of at least 400 homes and partial damage to 2,573 others, while access points remain closed and both camps have been reduced to near lifeless zones.
