Israeli Occupation Authorities Release 80 Gazan Captives

Gaza City: The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) released some 80 captives from the Gaza Strip today. Palestinian news agency (Wafa) quoted local sources as saying that a number of the released captives arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sources indicated that most of the released captives are elderly, and some of them are unable to move and show signs of torture. The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported that over 2,000 captives from the Gaza Strip are currently held in the prisons of Sde Teiman, Antot, Ofer Military Prison, and Negev.

Since the Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, more than 1,480 Palestinians have been murdered, and 3,688 others have been injured. This has brought the death toll in the Gaza Strip to 50,846, the majority of whom are children and women, since the beginning of the occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.
