Doha: In its editorial, Al-Watan highlighted the ongoing aggression by the Israeli occupation in the governorates of Jenin and Tulkarm, which has persisted for over two months with numerous arrests and field interrogations. Since the aggression began, 600 individuals have been detained in Jenin and its camp, while in Tulkarm and its two camps, the number has reached at least 250 detainees. These operations have intensified following the aggression on the Gaza Strip in October 2023. The paper also noted that Occupied Jerusalem has seen inciteful calls by extremist settler organizations associated with the Israeli occupation, advocating for the destruction of Al-Aqsa Mosque to construct the alleged Temple on its site. This act is viewed as a violation of Islamic holy sites and the sentiments of Muslims globally. Al-Watan urged the international community to take immediate action to protect these holy sites and halt violations in line with international resolutions.
