Israeli Forces Open Fire in Northern Gaza, Resulting in Casualties

Gaza: A Palestinian was killed and others were injured on Thursday when Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a gathering of residents in the northern Gaza Strip. Two other Palestinians were injured during the incident at the Halawa camp in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli occupation aircraft launched several raids today east of Gaza City, and the occupation forces conducted demolition and shooting operations in several parts of the Strip. Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes east of Gaza City. Although these strikes resulted in no casualties, they were accompanied by artillery shelling and gunfire from helicopters.

The occupation army also executed demolition operations throughout the night and into the morning in the eastern areas of Jabalia, Khan Yunis, and Rafah. Occupation vehicles were reported to have opened fire near the Moraj area, south of Khan Yunis city.

The recent violence comes after a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity, which took effect on Oct. 10. The agreement followed the withdrawal of the occupation army from populated sites and areas in the Gaza Strip and initiated the return of displaced people to the northern Gaza Strip. This ceasefire is part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
