Salfit: The Israeli occupation forces have escalated their military measures in the western area of Salfit city, setting up military checkpoints and obstructing Palestinian movement.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Israeli occupation forces established a military checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Deir Ballout and another near the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan. These actions have resulted in significant traffic disruptions and hindered the movement of Palestinians in the area.

Additionally, Israeli forces conducted raids on a village and several towns, patrolling the streets with a heavy presence of soldiers. In a further move, the Israeli occupation seized 695 dunams of Palestinian land to establish a new settlement neighborhood near Karnei Shomron. This action aims to cut off the geographical connection between Salfit and Qalqilya in the West Bank.

The ongoing expansion of settlement activity in the West Bank by Israeli forces seeks to undermine the potential establishment of a Palestinian State by confiscating land and establishing new settlements, thereby disrupting Palestinian geographical continuity.
