Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 15 Palestinians on Thursday, including former prisoners, from various areas in the West Bank.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian Authority's Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Society Prisoner's Club stated in a joint statement that the occupation continues its field arrest and interrogation operations, affecting hundreds of citizens in the Jenin and Tulkarem governorates. The Israeli forces also launched a wide-ranging assault on Balata Refugee Camp yesterday, accompanied by field arrests and interrogations of dozens of citizens, most of whom were later released.
The occupation has adopted a range of policies in the areas it raids, with the most prominent being the systematic field interrogation of dozens of families. These operations often involve turning homes into military barracks after forcing their owners to leave and displacing them to other areas.
