Israeli Forces Conduct Operations in Southern Syria

Quneitra: Israeli occupation forces today carried out incursions into villages and towns in the governorates of Quneitra and Daraa, setting up checkpoints, searching civilians, and arresting several of them.

According to Qatar News Agency, a patrol of six vehicles belonging to the Israeli army entered from the occupied Syrian Golan into the town of Abidin in the Yarmouk Basin area west of Daraa, where they arrested three young men before leaving the area and later releasing them.

The report added that four Israeli army vehicles also advanced into the village of Al Ajraf in Quneitra, where they searched a number of houses and set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village.

The Israeli occupation continues to carry out violations inside Syrian territory, in breach of the 1974 disengagement agreement signed between Syria and Israel, as well as international law and United Nations resolutions related to state sovereignty.
