The israeli occupation forces arrested -in the past 24 hours- at least 15 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including a woman who was held hostage, as well as freed prisoners.
In a joint statement, Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said that the arrests took place in the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Hebron, Tulkarm and Al-Quds (Occupied Jerusalem), adding that the occupation continues to carry out widespread incursions and destruction in governorates, refugee camps and towns, accompanied by sabotage and destruction of Palestinian homes, and severe beatings against detainees and their families.
The statement explained that, since the beginning of the israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, the israeli occupation arrested at least 8,550 Palestinians, pointing out that these arrests included those who were arrested from homes and through military checkpoints, as well as those who were forced to surrender them
selves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
The israeli occupation forces continue to implement systematic arrest campaigns, as one of the most prominent established policies, which escalated in an unprecedented manner after Oct. 7, not only in terms of the level of the number of detainees, but also in terms of the level of crimes committed.
