Gaza, The city of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza, has lost 12 sources of water following the Israeli occupations decisions to forcibly displace residents and displaced people to the east of the city.
In a statement on Saturday, Deir Al-Balah Municipality warned that according to the new map announced by the Israeli occupation authorities, Deir Al-Balah is braced for losing 10 wells and two water tanks east of the city.
These ten tanks produce approximately 60 percent of water, with 9,000 cups per day being pumped to residents and displaced people in Deir Al-Balah. Ominously, 300,000 residents and displaced people in Deir Al-Balah will be affected and suffer further from severe shortages of water services, the statement continued.
There is a new mass exodus of Palestinians in Al-Mawasi area, west of the city of Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, and the eastern areas of Deir al-Balah, following the new Israeli forced displacement orders that imperil the life of thousands of displaced Palestinians a
nd those who live in those areas, the statement highlighted.
These forced displacement orders against residents and displaced people in the central and south of the Gaza enclave stand in sharp contrast with the safe humanitarian zone alleged by Israel, which includes hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who fled every region in the devastating enclave.
