Beirut: The Israeli entity intensified its raids on southern Lebanon today. The escalation has been marked by airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting multiple areas across the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli warplanes launched two raids on the Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp in Sidon, southern Lebanon. In addition to this, heavy raids were conducted on several southern towns, including Mayfadoun, Qouzah, Beit Leef, Houmine al-Fawqa, Qantara, Srifa, Qabrikha, and Majdal Selm. The assaults did not stop at airstrikes alone; artillery and phosphorus shelling also targeted Tel Nahas and Khiam.
Lebanese Health Minister Rakan Nasser Eddine confirmed today that the Israeli entity's raids, targeting towns in the south and the Bekaa Valley since last Monday, have resulted in 394 deaths, including 83 children, and 1,130 injuries. The impact of the ongoing conflict on civilian life remains substantial, with reports of widespread destruction across the affected areas.
