Israeli Bombardment in Southern Gaza Strip Kills One Palestinian, Injures Another

Gaza city: A Palestinian was killed and another was wounded on Tuesday following the Israeli occupation's bombardment of Al Fukhari town in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. Medical crews whisked the body and the injured to Nasser Medical Complex after the area had been bombed by an Israeli drone, local sources reported.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sources added that several people were injured by the firepower launched by an Israeli drone in the Ma'an area, east of Khan Younis, describing the condition of some of them as dangerous. Meanwhile, Nasser Medical Complex announced that it received the remains of 45 Palestinians after they had been released by the Israeli occupation army under the recent swap deal.

On Monday, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that the toll from the war Israel has been waging on the Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has soared to 67,869 fatalities and 170,105 injuries. The ceasefire deal between the Palestinian Islamic Movement (Hamas) and Israel entered into force last Friday, following the pullback of the occupation army from sites and populated areas in the enclave.

Thereafter, displaced people started to pour into the north of the Strip as part of the first phase of the initiative put forward by US President Donald Trump to end the war on Gaza.
