Israeli army bombs southern Lebanon, Hezbollah targets Israeli sites

The Israeli army launched artillery shelling on Friday targeting the outskirts of towns in southern Lebanon, including Alma al-Shaab and al-Dhahira.

On Thursday night, fires broke out after a barrage of rockets was fired towards Safed, which saw power outages in parts of it.

Hezbollah announced targeting Israeli sites and a gathering of Israeli soldiers in more than one location, indicating that direct hits were achieved. It also announced targeting “an air defense base in the Beria barracks (near Safed) with volleys of Katyusha rockets.”

On Thursday, the Israeli army admitted to carrying out an attack in Syria, and claimed to have killed a member of the Lebanese Hezbollah, in a move that is rarely announced, despite targeting Syria dozens of times since the beginning of this year.

The official Lebanese News Agency confirmed that “three people, including a child, were killed in an Israeli raid that targeted two motorcycles on the road from the town of Kfarjouz towards the city of Nabatieh”; a car was als
o hit while passing on the road.
