Beirut: Twelve people were killed and others wounded in a series of airstrikes launched by Israeli aircraft Tuesday on Lebanon's northern Bekaa Valley.
According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that Israeli aircraft targeted the Wadi Fara area in the northern Bekaa Valley. One of the airstrikes hit a camp for displaced Syrians, resulting in the deaths of 12 people, including 7 Syrians, and injuring 8 others.
On November 27, a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon was set into motion, which required the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the southern Lebanese border towns and villages within 60 days. However, the agreement has not been fully implemented, as Israeli forces continue to maintain their presence at five strategic points.
