Gaza city: At least five Palestinians were martyred and others injured Friday following a new Israeli airstrike targeting a school in Gaza City. According to Qatar News Agency, the cumulative death toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has surged to 59,587 martyrs and 143,498 injured. Israel resumed its assault on Gaza on March 18, after a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that took effect on January 19. However, the occupation forces repeatedly violated its terms, launching attacks across various areas of the Strip, which is facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
