Israeli Aerial Offensive Kills One in Southern Lebanon

Marjayoun: An individual was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Rab Thalathine town in Marjayoun District of South Lebanon, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported in a statement Saturday.

According to Qatar News Agency, a ceasefire accord took effect on November 27, 2024, in southern Lebanon. The accord required Israeli forces to withdraw from border villages and towns within a 60-day period. However, the Lebanese government later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18, 2025. Despite this extension, Israeli forces have remained in five locations and continue their breaches.

These violations by Israel have surpassed 7,000 air breaches and over 2,400 military activities within the UNIFIL area of operations in southern Lebanon since last November.
