Baghdad: Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, who is currently visiting Iraq, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries and issues of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the Iraqi President emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and expanding avenues of cooperation in the fields of security and defense. He highlighted the necessity of exchanging expertise and intelligence information and combating terrorism to reinforce the foundations of stability and safety in both countries and across the region.
