Iraqi Officer Injured in IED Blast South of Kirkuk

Kirkuk: An Iraqi security officer was injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded, targeting an Iraqi security forces patrol south of Kirkuk Governorate in northern Iraq.

According to Qatar News Agency, a security source said that the officer was injured while carrying out security missions in Wadi Al-Shay, south of Kirkuk. Meanwhile, security forces arrested two militants today in Mandali district in Diyala province in northeastern Iraq.

Several Iraqi provinces experience explosions from devices left behind by ISIS, often resulting in fatalities and injuries.
