Baghdad: The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced that it has begun exporting crude oil by tanker through Syria, in preparation for delivering it to export outlets, after the disruption of maritime exports through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Iraqi Ministry of Oil emphasized that the collaboration with the Syrian side is crucial for ensuring the delivery of Iraqi oil. This strategic move comes as a response to the challenges posed by the disruption of maritime exports through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical choke point for global oil shipments.
The ministry also highlighted that they had previously resumed exporting crude oil through the Turkish port of Ceyhan. This demonstrates Iraq's efforts to diversify its export routes and ensure the continued flow of its oil to international markets amidst regional challenges.
