Doha: Iran announced Saturday the launch of a new wave of missile attacks on Israel in response to recent Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear, military, and civilian facilities. Iran’s IRNA news agency reported that the Iranian army had just launched the sixth wave of missile attacks on the occupied Palestinian territories, adding that the missiles were launched from dozens of missile bases across various cities, including Shiraz, Kashan, Qom, and Lorestan.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Iranian Mehr news agency said that this round of attacks comes as part of the new phase of the True Promise 3 operation. It added that the Iranian army responded to the Israeli attack by launching hundreds of ballistic missiles at targets in the occupied territories, a move that confirmed the Iranian armed forces’ full readiness and high defensive capabilities.
Mehr said that air raid sirens sounded for the second consecutive day across the occupied territories, noting that Iranian missiles targeted facilities in Haifa in northern occupied Palestine, where fires broke out and loud explosions were heard. Meanwhile, Iranian authorities announced that air defenses stationed in Qom province shot down two Israeli drones this evening, following renewed Israeli attacks on several Iranian regions.
