Tehran: Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have agreed to continue negotiations on unresolved issues concerning Iran's nuclear program.
According to Qatar News Agency, the decision followed a meeting between Behrouz Kamalvandi, Deputy Head for International, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), and Massimo Aparo, Deputy Director General of IAEA and Head of the Department of Safeguards. The meeting focused on how to follow up on unresolved issues and implement existing agreements.
During the discussions, Kamalvandi addressed matters of mutual concern, particularly those linked to safeguards and outstanding issues. Both parties committed to a strategy for follow-up and affirmed their intention to continue negotiations and implement previously agreed-upon measures.
The visit by the IAEA delegation to Tehran occurs amid ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States regarding Iran's nuclear program, with Oman acting as a mediator.
