IOF Wages War of Genocide Amid Heightened Siege, Starvation in Northern Gaza Strip

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continue to commit acts of genocide by carrying out airstrikes, firing artillery shells, decimating homes, forcibly displacing Palestinians, inflicting starvation upon them, and brutally targeting schools, shelter centers, and hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, especially in Jabalia camp and Beit Lahia. These grisly crimes have been ongoing for 19 consecutive days, amid a heightened siege that blocks the flow of food, water, fuel, and medicine, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported horrific details about the Israeli occupation’s crimes and barbarity in the northern Gaza Strip, such as separating men and women and causing a state of frenzy where children lose their guardians and get separated from them during their forced displacement, leaving hundreds of them besieged, scared and alone, in addition to the shortage of shrouds to cover the bodies of the martyrs, all crimes of which deliberately created by the IOF.

Eyewitnesses pointed out t
hat the IOF forcibly evacuated Al Fakhoora school at Jabalia refugee camp, stripped some displaced civilians of their clothes and ordered them to go to a checkpoint near the Indonesian Hospital. One can only speculate the unknown that they experience after.

The displaced persons were forced to bury the bodies of their martyrs in public streets without coffins due to a shortage of shrouds, as a result of the enforced siege and high-intensity bombardment in the area, eyewitnesses said, emphasizing that starvation and the severe shortage of drinking water have dramatically exacerbated the situation in the northern enclave, as the occupation army rejects the entry of all trucks carrying food and aid to civilians.

The Israeli occupation’s cutting off of communications and internet access in the area for 19 days caused a shortage of videos and photos documenting the atrocities that the IOF is committing against civilians, in addition to the difficulty of communicating with the Palestinians in the northern Gaza St
rip.

The IOF murdered more than 42,792 Palestinian civilians and injured more than 100,412 others since the beginning of the genocide that the Israeli occupation has been committing against the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
