IOF Bombs City, Camp of Jenin in West Bank, Murders Four, Injures 35 Others

Jenin: The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) bombed Jenin city and Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, murdering at least four Palestinian civilians and injuring at least 35 others today.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the bodies of four murdered Palestinians and at least 35 wounded others arrived at different hospitals in the West Bank so far, pointing out that the toll is likely to rise as the Israeli aggression continues.

On the other hand, Wafa news agency reported that Israeli warplanes are also taking part in the aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp. They stormed with a large number of military vehicles from Al-Jalameh military checkpoint, shortly after special forces were discovered in Al-Jabarat neighborhood.

Wafa also reported local sources as saying that the IOF is currently besieging a house in Jenin camp, adding that Israeli snipers are situated on the roofs of buildings, preventing ambulance crews from reaching the wounded and preventing the exit or entry into the camp.

The Israeli occupation army announced today that it had launched an attack on the city of Jenin and its camp, amid threats from ministers in the extremist Israeli government to escalate the situation in the West Bank.

The IOF has been installing iron gates at the entrances to towns and villages in the West Bank since Monday (yesterday), as part of a policy of tightening the siege on the West Bank, cutting it off and turning it into isolated areas while restricting the movement of residents and imposing collective punishment on them.

The cities, towns, and refugee camps in the occupied West Bank have been subjected to daily raids and incursions by the IOF since the beginning of the genocide that the Israeli occupation has been committing in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023.
