The Investment and Trade Court will partake in Qatar University’s 16th Career Fair from September 11 to 14.

The court will hold a special discussion panel on September 12 and 13 that will include an introductory presentation about the court and its departments, in addition to highlighting its importance in order to increase awareness and communication with students and those interested in commercial and investment law.

The panel also aims to introduce students and academics to the importance of the court’s role in settling investment and commercial disputes and to provide an overview of the work it provides in maintaining the stability and development of the investment environment.

The discussion will address the issues faced by investors and businessmen in raising commercial and investment disputes and the importance of adopting the court as an effective means of resolving these disputes.

Recent case examples are expected to be presented, in addition to the developments in relevant laws and legislation.

The event will also allow students to ask experts and members of the court questions.

The court began its work on May 10, 2022, as specified by Law No. 21 of 2021 Establishing the Investment and Trade Court with an aim to attract investment in Qatar, which has caught the interest of many investors.
