Doha: The Ministry of Culture has announced the commencement of the inaugural “Doha Photography Festival” on Friday, to be held on the opposite side of Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal. This event marks a significant addition to the cultural season activities in the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, the festival will see participation from eight international companies that specialize in photography cameras. The event, which will run until November 13, promises a rich array of activities including individual and collective exhibitions showcasing old photos and “antique” cameras. A dedicated space for displaying film photos has also been arranged to cater to enthusiasts of traditional photography methods.
The festival’s program includes a main theater where international photographers will present lectures and seminars. Additionally, there will be workshops and interactive platforms designed to engage the public and provide hands-on experiences in photography. With its diverse offerings, the festival aims to
celebrate the art of photography while fostering cultural exchange and learning.
