Hundreds of colonists stormed on Thursday the Buraq Wall, adjacent to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the western side, and performed Talmudic rituals, under heavy protection of the Israeli occupation police, coinciding with a Jewish holiday.
Groups of colonists in large numbers stormed the Buraq Wall and performed Talmudic rituals, coinciding with the Jewish holiday of “Simchat Torah”, the Palestinian news agency (WAFA) quoted sources as saying.
The occupation authorities exploit Jewish holidays to oppress Palestinian citizens and impose collective punishments against them, by closing checkpoints and tightening military measures on them, and obstructing the movement of citizens and preventing them from reaching holy places, while at the same time facilitating colonists’ incursions into Palestinian cities and Islamic and archaeological sites in the West Bank, especially the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
The number of colonists storming the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque has been stea
dily increasing. A few years ago, the number did not exceed 5,000 annually, while this year it reached more than 60,000.
