Hundreds of colonists stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Al-Quds (Occupied Jerusalem), under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, while thousands others were flocking to the city in preparation for the provocative flag march. Palestinian news agency (Wafa) reported eyewitnesses as saying that the colonists stormed Al-Aqsa in consecutive groups from the Mughrabi Gate, carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards. The Israeli occupation police tightened their military measures and turned Al-Quds into an armed camp, as 3,000 officers were deployed in the Old City and its surroundings under the pretext of securing the march of the colonists, especially at the Al-Aqsa gates. The occupation police also announced that it will close the roads and alleys in the Old City from noon until evening, as thousands of colonists are expected to participate in the provocative flag march that will start from West Occupied Jerusalem, passing through Damascu s Gate to the Buraq Wall. In May, 4,277 colonists and 6,179 others under the name of "tourists" stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque. The rate of raids by extremist colonialists into Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds has increased significantly since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023.
