Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has sent a cable of congratulations to HE Louise Arbour following her appointment as Governor General of Canada.

According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir wished HE Arbour success in carrying out her new duties and expressed hopes for continued growth and prosperity in bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Canada.
