Jeddah: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HM King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan held a tripartite meeting during which they discussed regional and international developments and the efforts made to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting, held in Jeddah on Monday, focused on efforts to contain tensions in light of the rapid developments in the region, the continued Iranian aggression, and the challenges it poses to regional and international security and stability, including its repercussions on global energy supplies and the stability of its markets.
HH the Amir, HRH the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and HM the King of Jordan also exchanged views on key issues of common interest, emphasizing the importance of continuing close coordination and consultation regarding developments. This reflects the depth of the fraternal and strategic relations that bind the sister countries and enhances their common interests.
The leaders stressed the need to unify efforts and coordinate stances to address current challenges to preserve the security and stability of the region and protect the sovereignty of its countries and the interests of its people.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and several senior officials attended the meeting.
On Saudi Arabia's side, attendees included HRH Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HE Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al Aiban, along with several senior officials.
On Jordan's side, the meeting saw the participation of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Ayman Safadi and several senior officials.
