HH the Amir Patronizes Graduation Ceremony of 12th Batch of Cadets of Al Zaeem Air Academy

Al Udeid: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronized the graduation ceremony of the 12th batch of cadets of Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air Academy at the academy's headquarters in Al Udeid Air Base on Wednesday morning. The ceremony witnessed the participation of several Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers, highlighting its significance.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event was graced by the presence of HE Commander of the Air Force of the Republic of Egypt Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Foaad Abd El-Gawad, HE Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Somalia Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, HE Commander of the Air Force of Canada Lt. Gen. Eric Kenny, and senior security and military leaders from friendly countries. The gathering also included Their Excellencies, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State, senior officers from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, State Security Service, and Lekhwiya, alongside other distinguished guests.

The ceremony commenced with the national anthem, followed by the commander of the graduates' queue requesting HH the Amir to inspect the queue of 119 graduates from the State of Qatar and other nations including the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Tunisia, the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the Republic of Rwanda. The event featured the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a march by the graduates' queue, and a military parade. HH the Amir honored the outstanding graduates, further enhancing the ceremony's prestige.

The ceremonial proceedings included the symbolic handover of the flag from the 12th batch to the 13th batch, the reading of the appointment order, and the exit of the graduates' queue. An air show followed, showcasing Qatar Amiri Air Force aircraft such as F-15s, Rafales, Typhoons, and aircraft from Al Zaeem Air Academy, including H-125 and Super Mushshak models. The display also featured transport aircraft like C-17 and C-130, along with helicopters, including Apache, NH90, and Agusta models.

The ceremony concluded with officers from the 12th batch taking the oath and reciting the Academy's anthem, marking the end of a prestigious and momentous event.
