Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met at the Amiri Diwan on Monday with HE President of the Republic of Benin Patrice Talon. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed areas of cooperation between their countries and explored ways to promote and expand these across various fields. They also addressed key regional and international developments of mutual concern.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key officials from both nations. From Qatar, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani, and HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi were present. The Republic of Benin was represented by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, HE Minister of Economy and Finance Romuald Wadagni, along with senior officials from the delegation accompanying HE the President.

Earlier, HH the Amir and HE the President of Benin held a bilateral meeting where they exchanged views and opinions on a number of issues of joint interest.
