Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani hosted an iftar banquet for commanders and senior officers of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and the State's security agencies at Lusail Palace on Tuesday.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir also had a meeting at his office in Lusail Palace with HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who was visiting the country. During the same day, HH the Amir sent cables of congratulations to HH the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Kuwait's National Day and to HE President of Estonia, Alar Karis, on Estonia's Independence Day.
HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani extended congratulations to the leaders of Kuwait and Estonia on the same occasions. Concurrently, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif during his visit. The Prime Minister also sent congratulatory cables to the leaders of Kuwait and Estonia, including HE Prime Minister of Estonia, Kristen Michal.
Furthermore, HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, held meetings with HE Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Qatar, Neerav Patel, and Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Qatar, HRH Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saad bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri chaired the Workforce Planning Committee's second regular meeting of 2026. Additionally, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, and participated in a high-level meeting in Cairo in preparation for an international conference to support Lebanon's security forces.
HE Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, also met with HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, before concluding his visit to Doha. Meanwhile, HE President of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, received the credentials of HE Hamad bin Mohammed Al Dosari as Qatar's Ambassador to Sri Lanka.
