Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone conversation Thursday from HE President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The discussions addressed ways to boost bilateral cooperation between the two countries as well as regional and international issues of common interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the President of Brazil expressed his country's solidarity with the State of Qatar in light of the treacherous Israeli attack. He emphasized that any violation of state sovereignty would exacerbate crises in the region. He also reiterated his country's support for the two-state solution in Palestine as the only way to end the conflict.

For his part, HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to HE the President of Brazil for his solidarity and genuine sentiments towards the State of Qatar and its people. His Highness stressed that the State of Qatar would take all necessary measures to protect its security and sovereignty.
