HH the Amir Engages in Phone Discussion with Turkish President Amid Regional Tensions

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call today from HE President of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The call primarily focused on regional tensions following recent events in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Turkish President began the call by expressing concern over the situation in Qatar after the Iranian aggression, emphasizing Turkiye's condemnation of any actions targeting Qatari territories and those of other Arab nations. He reaffirmed Turkiye's stance against any threats to national sovereignty and the security of their people.

HH the Amir expressed appreciation to HE President Erdogan for his supportive sentiments and solidarity, highlighting the strong ties between Qatar and Turkiye. The leaders further discussed regional developments and the impact on peace and security, agreeing on the importance of de-escalation and the need to enhance diplomatic efforts to maintain regional stability.
