Amman: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani departed from Amman on Wednesday, marking the end of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. His departure from Marka International Airport was witnessed by a host of high-profile Jordanian officials, including HM King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein.
According to Qatar News Agency, the send-off was attended by several dignitaries, such as HE Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al Safadi, and HE Director of the Office of HM the King Eng. Alaa Batayneh. Other officials present included HE Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah, HE Minister of Finance Abdulhakim Al Shibli, HE Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Al Hunaiti, HE Director of the General Intelligence Directorate Major General Ahmad Husni, and ambassadors from both Qatar and Jordan.
HH the Amir was accompanied on this visit by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, as well as an official delegation. The visit underscores the strong bilateral relations between Qatar and Jordan, as demonstrated by the presence of senior officials from both nations during the departure ceremony.
