Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with HE Secretary of State of the United States of America Marco Rubio at the Amiri Diwan office during Rubio’s visit to the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on the strategic relations between Qatar and the United States, with particular emphasis on enhancing collaboration in the defense sector. The discussions also covered prominent regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially the implications of the recent Israeli attack on Doha. Both leaders explored the potential for joint diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, facilitating the release of hostages and prisoners, and promoting de-escalation across the region.

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani was also present during the meeting, contributing to the dialogue on these critical topics.
