HH the Amir and Sultan of Oman Hold Official Talks in Muscat

Muscat: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman conducted a session of official talks at Al Alam Palace in Muscat. The meeting featured discussions on strengthening the bilateral relations between Qatar and Oman, with both leaders expressing their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, the session began with HM Sultan Haitham welcoming HH the Amir and his delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay. He expressed his desire to strengthen the fraternal ties between the two nations. In response, HH the Amir expressed his pleasure in visiting Oman and emphasized the importance of the historical and solid relations that bind Qatar and Oman.

The talks focused on enhancing cooperation, particularly in the areas of economy, investment, education, research, and development. Both sides highlighted the necessity of leveraging investment and trade opportunities to strengthen their relationship and serve their mutual interests.

The session was attended by several high-ranking officials from both countries. On the Qatari side, notable attendees included HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari. The Omani delegation included HH Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi.

In addition to the talks, HM the Sultan hosted a dinner banquet in honor of HH the Amir and his delegation. The leaders also exchanged commemorative gifts to mark the occasion.
