Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Wednesday from HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani. At the beginning of the call, both leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, expressing wishes for the holiday to bring goodness and blessings to their respective countries and peoples.
According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation highlighted the importance of de-escalation and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to enhance security and stability in the region. In this regard, HH the Amir reaffirmed Qatar's condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting several countries in the region. He emphasized that these attacks violate state sovereignty and international law.
HH the Amir stressed the urgent need to stop these attacks and called for the cessation of using any country's territory as a base to threaten its neighbors. He underscored the importance of implementing measures to prevent hostile acts originating from any territory to maintain regional security and avoid further escalation.
