Lusail: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto convened at Lusail Palace on Friday to deliberate on the bilateral relations between their countries and explore avenues to enhance cooperation in multiple sectors. The leaders also reviewed recent regional developments, focusing on efforts to promote peace and stability for the region's populace.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir initiated the meeting by welcoming HE the Indonesian President and his delegation, expressing his contentment with the visit, which underscores the robust ties between Qatar and Indonesia. In response, HE President Subianto affirmed Indonesia's unwavering solidarity with Qatar and its populace, pledging support for actions taken to safeguard Qatar's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
HE President Subianto condemned the Israeli attack as a breach of Qatar's sovereignty, contravening international laws and norms, and threatening regional security and stability. He commended HH the Amir and Qatar's efforts in pursuing peace and stability both regionally and globally.
HH the Amir conveyed his gratitude to HE President Subianto for his solidarity and support, acknowledging Indonesia's steadfast stance with Qatar and its citizens. The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials from both nations, including HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, among others.
