HH the Amir and Czech President Discuss Regional Security Amid Iranian Aggression

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel. During the conversation, President Pavel expressed his country's solidarity with Qatar in light of the recent Iranian aggression.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Czech President condemned the military actions by Iran, highlighting that these acts pose a threat to the security and sovereignty of states and jeopardize regional stability. He reaffirmed the Czech Republic's opposition to any actions that undermine regional security and stability.

President Pavel also praised Qatar's efforts in supporting peace initiatives and its commitment to fostering regional stability through dialogue and diplomacy. He emphasized the need for urgent measures to cease military operations and de-escalate tensions, urging for increased international collaboration to find a swift resolution to the crisis, which would ensure the security and stability of the region.

Both leaders agreed on the necessity of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions while adhering to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter. This approach, they noted, is crucial for enhancing peace and security at both regional and international levels.
