Heavy Rains and Landslides Kill 43 in Northern Pakistan

Doha: At least 43 people have died and several others were injured in the past 24 hours due to torrential rains, flash floods, and landslides that struck northern Pakistan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the northern regions suffered extensive damage, while rescue teams continue relief operations, evacuating stranded tourists and reopening damaged roads.

Authorities reported that the death toll from the monsoon rains and floods that have swept across the country since Jun. 26 has risen to 312, with 740 people injured.
