Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced changes to the operating hours of a number of services for the Holy Month of Ramadan. In a statement on Thursday, HMC indicated that all emergency and inpatient services across HMC’s network of hospitals, including Paediatric Emergency Centers, will continue to operate as normal, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
According to Qatar News Agency, the changes to operating hours affect several services delivered remotely via the National Healthcare Helpline number 16000, which will continue to operate during Ramadan 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, the customer service helpline “Nesma’ak” 16060 will also remain available 24/7.
Outpatient Department Clinics will function as usual alongside the Urgent Consultation Service, operating from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday to Thursday. The HMC Urgent Consultation Service will similarly run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday to Thursday.
The Mental Health Helpline is set to continue its operations from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday to Thursday, while HMC Pharmacy Medication Delivery will be available from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday to Thursday. The Qatar National Blood Donor Center is scheduled to operate from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 12:00 am Sunday to Thursday, will be closed on Friday, and will operate on Saturday from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am.
The HMC Clinic at Sealine will be open Thursday and Friday from 2:00 pm to 2:00 am and on Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Clinical Imaging Call Centre will operate as usual from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
